Built to support

our habitat

As a brand new town, Seven Mills gives us a unique opportunity to apply best practice aspirations for sustainability and biodiversity.

Seven Mills will comprise a collection of Biodiversity Net Gain neighbourhoods. Specialised programmes will support native plants and wildlife and enhance the natural environment. These programmes will include cultivating plants to attract pollinators, as well as actively planting and preserving our native hawthorn trees through seed collection from the site. The seeds that we have collected are currently being cultivated in nurseries offsite to be planted at Seven Mills when the time is right.

Sustainability from the ground up

Every home at Seven Mills is Home Performance Index (HPI) registered. This means that it is built with a commitment to measuring and reducing its environmental footprint. How we do this ranges from reducing water and energy consumption to careful consideration of the impact of materials used. They are also built as Near Zero-Emission Buildings (NZEB) making them some of the most sustainable homes Dublin has to offer.

Live your best life,
closer to nature

Seven Mills is designed to ensure that each home will be within a 2 minute walk of a green area. Overall there are 225 acres of green space and this features 12.5km of walkways and cycleways. It’s got a public park and two children’s playgrounds already open, with plenty more in the planning. All this, together with 3.5km of canal frontage to enjoy, means the outdoor life will soon become part of your daily routine.

These are super energy efficient homes, that minimise carbon footprint and reduce energy bills right from the start.

Green spaces

There will be dedicated green space within 2 minutes walk from each front door.

Building for better

The construction process in Seven Mills prioritises resource efficiency, saving over 100,000 litres of water daily through on-site well boring.

By employing Soil Stabilisation techniques, repurposing surplus materials to elevate ground levels, the construction of Seven Mills minimises landfill waste and reduces the carbon footprint by 65%, cutting truck movements and emissions. This results in nearly four tonnes of carbon emissions saved per residential unit.
